How We Got To Now With Steven Johnson
'How We Got To Now' is currently airing on PBS in the US. The six-part series is presented by popular American science author Steven Johnson and explores the legacy of great ideas. I was producer for Peepshow Collective on the project, with art director Luke Best and animation director Pete Mellor. The series is a co-production between PBS and Nutopia.
We created 6 bespoke title sequences and 73 animated segments on a variety of topics ranging from Hollywood actress Hedy Lamarr’s invention of a frequency hopping torpedo to how Boyle’s Law and the nature of gases led to the invention of artificial refrigeration.
HOW WE GOT TO NOW WITH STEVEN JOHNSON premieres Wednesdays, October 15, 9 - 11 p.m. and October 22 - November 12, 10 - 11 p.m. ET on PBS.

Details of 'A Liar's Autobiography' are slowly being revealed, and im proud to say Peepshow are one of sixteen animation studios working on sections of the feature length stereoscopic 3D animated film alongside our friends at Trunk, Treat, Not to Scale, Beakus and many more.
'A Liar's Autobiography' is based on the memoir of Monty Python's Graham Chapman and features the voices of surviving Python members Terry Jones, Michael Palin, John Cleese and Terry Gilliam. It will be released in Spring 2012.

Philips//How to be King

I recently completed art direction duties on the second round of instructional films for Philips / DDB Tribal in Amsterdam. Working once again with Elliot Thoburn's intricate illustrations and in partnership with our friends at Wyld Stallyons, Pete Mellor and myself have explained how to be 'King of the Boardroom' with a goatee beard, 'King of Character' with a variety of moustaches and 'King of the Wild' with a full beard. You can see the previous films and the new additions on the Philips website here.

Philips

I've been art directing another six instructional films for Philips via DDB the last few months, working with our good friends at Wyld Stallyons once again. Nothing I can reveal just yet, but in the meantime here's Dave and Pete from Peepshow at the green screen shoot a few weeks ago.
