Observer Music Monthly



This was a regular illustration I used to do for The Observer Music Monthly from 2005-2007. I completed over 20 portraits of musicians for the 'Reviews' section. Here (from the top) is Arctic Monkeys, The Hours and Scissor Sisters. Others included Prince, The Chemical Brothers, Grinderman, George Michael, Thom Yorke and Girls Aloud. You can see more here.

Biggie for The Source

I'm having a hard-drive clear out, hence the amount of old work appearing here. This is one of my favourite commissions for The Source from 2002 when I was still painting on canvas. The very first piece of work through my US agent Art Department

1001 Albums......
I worked on this over a year ago, but a new edition of '1001 albums you must hear before you die' just landed on my doorstep with my portrait of Debbie Harry on the cover. The first edition featured my portrait of Kraftwerk.

Another sleeve for Defected Records, this one is for 'Jus a Beat' by ATFC. I think they've changed the colouring for the final sleeve though.

In the House
I was asked by Peter Chadwick at Popular Design to Illustrate the cover of 'Gilles Peterson In the House', a new compilation on Defected Records, released 28th January. Available on Amazon here, and as a series of downloadable wallpapers here. Posters all over London at the minute.
